A co-created and shared language is being created to foster collaboration and open innovation in the design of wind turbine blades.
The Jury says
Creating a shared language among the many different stakeholders and disciplines involved in developing wind turbine blades cannot be easy. However, the Blade Handbook, which has been developed over a 7-year period, is achieving this. The Blade Handbook is a well-crafted way to communicate complex topics to a consortium – and it is a rare example of clear, visually-documented collaboration. As one jury member said, “It looks more accessible than the average kitchen equipment manual”. “Quite fantastic,” said another.
