Making waste sorting easier in Copenhagen’s public spaces.

Copenhagen’s waste-sorting solution helps people separate household waste in public spaces, making it easier to meet the city’s 2024 recycling goals. The system includes three types of bins – Top, Kube, and Shelter – designed to collect as many recyclable materials as possible, especially in limited space.

The system is easy to maintain and operate, with parts that can be replaced by one person. It is made from recycled materials, ensuring it is cost-effective and long-lasting.

With 200 sorting points already in place, the design not only enhances accessibility for users and efficiency for collectors but also fosters a shared responsibility for sustainability among Copenhagen’s citizens.
