Rethinking the paint bucket.

Paint’R replaces the traditional paint bucket with packaging that also functions as a working tool. The paint comes in a patented bag inside a sturdy cardboard box that can be used directly as a roller bucket. Users simply open the box and bag and can start painting without first pouring the paint into a separate container. For professional painters, the bag can also be transferred directly into existing roller buckets. This reduces the need for extra equipment, pouring, and single-use plastic.

Around 1.5 million paint buckets are discarded every day across Europe, and a traditional bucket contains approximately 450 grams of unrecyclable single-use plastic. Paint’R replaces most of this with a recyclable cardboard box and a 60-gram plastic bag. This reduces the amount of plastic by around 86% and CO2 emissions drastically. The solution reduces the need to lift and pour from heavy paint buckets, making it easier for the user and limiting wasted paint. Its square shape also allows more paint to fit on a pallet. Professional painters prefer Paint’R over the traditional bucket, and it is also redesigned in a version for private consumers for direct paint sale online.
