A safer fit for Danish homes.

NORM K rethinks one of the most overlooked objects in the home: the electrical plug. NORM K is a flat electrical plug developed specifically for Danish sockets (Type K). Its low-profile design allows furniture and appliances to sit closer to the wall. An adaptive cable arm allows the plug to easily adapt to varying socket depths while maintaining its low-profile design. This makes NORM K the first flat, grounded Type K plug certified for safe use across the different Danish socket types. The plug is available in seven colors and can be replaced by the user without an electrician. Many electrical appliances in Denmark are supplied with European Type F plugs, even though most Danish sockets use the Danish Type K system. When the two systems are combined, the ground connection can be lost. An inspection of 77 new homes in 2020 found that 60% of portable appliances were not properly grounded. At the same time, traditional plugs take up unnecessary space between walls, furniture, and appliances. NORM K solves both problems in one product, making an overlooked everyday object safer, more space-efficient, and easier to integrate into the home.
