What was once discarded after only a few uses now becomes the raw material for a new product. SST transforms used HDPE scaffold sheeting into new safety and protection panels for the same industry. The panels are lightweight, compatible with different scaffolding systems, and installed using a patented hole-and-hook system. The detachable hooks also make the panels easy to stack, reducing their storage and transport volume to about one-third that of conventional panels. In other words, circularity is built into both the material and the way the product is used.

Each year, SST collects more than 200 tons of used scaffold plastic that was previously sent for incineration. Now, the material is kept in circulation and reused in new panels and hooks. According to the company, only about 5% is lost during recycling, meaning roughly 95% can move on to the next production cycle. That means less plastic waste and less need for virgin raw materials. At the same time, the low weight, integrated carrying holes, and compact storage make the panels easier to handle on construction sites. The result is a solution where circular design not only reduces waste, but also makes day-to-day work more efficient for the people using it.
