Bringing clothing repair back into everyday life.

Repairing our clothes was once a normal part of everyday life. But today, fast fashion and a throwaway mindset have made it far less common—even though we know that the fashion industry is extremely harmful for the environment. This design solution brings repair back in a simple, creative way, helping everyday consumers feel confident and empowered to fix their clothes again.

At its core is a modular toolkit that enables people to develop hands-on repair skills. Paired with a collection of visual mending samples and a flexible design strategy, the solution bridges the gap between global sustainability goals and individual action. Rather than presenting repair as a chore, it positions it as a form of engagement - giving people the tools, knowledge, and agency to extend the life of their clothes.

Through thoughtful design, the project reframes mending as something more than maintenance. It becomes a cultural and practical gateway to sustainable consumption, reconnecting people to their garments and to the value of care.
