Copenhagen Municipality’s largest rainstorm intervention project to date. A heavily trafficked and previously unattractive area has become fully climate-adapted with biodiverse green areas for recreational activities. The Jury says It is a fantastic transformation of a previously unattractive part of the city. The new space tackles noise and climate change in a unique way, creates oxygen and is overall an emotionally appealing experience for people visiting it. It elevates the entire area. This solution is extremely innovative and sets the direction for what we should be doing all over the world to create more liveable cities.
