With the LEGO House School Programme, school classes are invited to experience what LEGO means by learning through play via a number of “lessons” facilitated by LEGO’s “Play Heroes”.
The Jury says
The school programme at LEGO House is representative of an important educational insight – that play can be the starting point for learning. Using children’s familiarity with LEGO, the school programme underlines that play is not only important in its own right but is also a means to learn. At a time when testing is held to be most important, initiatives like these provide a balancing function and a counterpart to traditional forms of learning. The design and implementation of the experience for children and their teachers are first class.
