Face to face with history paraphrases historical portraits. The historical people act as "the third other," and their lives and feelings create a safe space to talk about how life was before and is today as a young person. The aim is to make history more attractive for teenagers through social interaction and learning.

The jury says

This is an impressive new way of adapting history learning into a tangible and accessible manner for the younger crowd. Additionally, the use of creative expressions is a great way to close the gap of interest that teenagers often have with museums. This design solution makes history present and facilitates an engaging learning environment through hands-on activities that combine historical portraits with bodies.
