On a global level, we use billions of plastic drinking bottles every year. We also install billions of square meters of carpet each year. Thus the Eco-tex product points towards huge potential saving in material usage. The jury estimated that if applied globally, the annual production of carpet with this backing would absorb the material from half the world’s production of plastic bottles!
