Repairing our clothes was once a normal part of daily life. Today, fast fashion and throwaway culture have made mending rare despite growing awareness of the fashion industry’s environmental toll. This design solution seeks to revive repair as a creative, accessible, and empowering practice for everyday consumers.

At its core is a modular toolkit that enables people to develop hands-on repair skills. Paired with a collection of visual mending samples and a flexible design strategy, the solution bridges the gap between global sustainability goals and individual action. Rather than presenting repair as a chore, it positions it as a form of engagement giving people tools, knowledge, and agency to extend the life of their clothes.

Through thoughtful design, the project reframes mending as something more than maintenance. It becomes a cultural and practical gateway to sustainable consumption reconnecting people to their garments, and to the value of care.
