A method for producing solar energy from lowland soil which has the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from such lands and strengthen biodiversity. The Jury says This visualisation and pilot project addresses two very important topics in Denmark. How to increase biodiversity and how to prevent low lying lands from releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere when drained. There are 70.000 hectares of such land in Denmark (1 hectare = 10000 square metres) so this is a very significant and timely solution. The jury also notice that there is an important political discussion on this topic in Denmark at the moment and here is a design proposal addressing the problem.
