Arc Chair bridges classic design with modern craftsmanship. Modern CNC machining completed by skilled craftsmen, it leverages modern machinery while retaining human sensibility. The transition between steel and wood is harmonious and soft. The self-assemble chair is certified with the FSC and the EU-Ecolabels, and all components can be repaired or replaced. At the end of the chair’s lifecycle, it is easy to disassemble it in key materials for proper reuse and recycling. The Jury says Depping & Jørgensen has taken this archetypal design and made a chair that has the qualities of a traditionally crafted chair, but with all the benefits of the use of new technology-driven tools and machinery. A very sustainable approach taking classic Danish aesthetics into the future.
