Amalie Gielov & Alexandra Mølvang

Amalie and Alexandra have a master in Strategic Design and Entrepreneurship from the Royal Danish Academy – Architecture, Design, Conservation. Together, through scientific, field and design research with Rigshospitalet, they have created a neonatal chair that addresses problems that babies born prematurely and their parents regularly experience.

The Jury says
A thoughtful and well-researched project that is visually reminiscent of the Gaetano Pesce Feltri Chair — but empowered with solid functionality and purpose. We like the idea of “healing design” which Amalie and Alexandra have addressed a very important problem with a multi-purpose design solution.
