A pavilion that produces microalgae through photosynthesis and serves as a social space that informs and sparks debate on the future of food.
The jury says
The spherical plywood construction from the innovation lab SPACE10 anticipates tomorrow’s food revolution and reaches out to engage visitors. The functional design solution offers optimal growth conditions for microalgae, and the design aesthetic makes it more acceptable to eat a new category of food. All in all a progressive project that offers a good basis for the important conversation about how to feed future generations.
