Tim Larcombe comes from Brighton, England, and has lived in Denmark for 15 years. He has worked in 9 different industries, in 8 different roles, in 7 different countries – always with a focus on innovation. Originally educated as an engineer, he took a second degree in Industrial Design at the Royal College of Art, and then held a number of marketing positions with Philips and KPN Telecom in Holland and within Omnicom in New York. His most recent industry position was as Design and Innovation Process Manager at Oticon.
Whilst at Oticon he developed a reliable and repeatable process for aligning competences so people could work better together. Using this process, the Oticon Intiga hearing instrument won the Danish Design Award in 2012. Seeing that this alignment process could be useful in many companies in many industries, three years ago Tim started the INTENT consultancy. Since then, the INTENT process has created alignment and positive outcomes in innovation teams, in management teams, within organizations and between organizations. Recently the INTENT process aligned the Danish Design Centre and Design denmark to jointly create the Danish Design Award. Contact: tim@danishdesignaward.com
