The Jury says
The team proposes a design intervention in a very complex cultural context. We need design solutions to contribute to solving the problems arising from huge flows of people around the world. This isn’t a top-down model of assigning services but takes the individual’s needs as the starting point. It’s designed as a long term solution, as opposed to the current short-term thinking. The Hatch team also demonstrate the value of co-creation – an important design method for difficult problems like this.
