The Upcycl is a platform for connecting manufacturers who produce waste materials with creators who could use the material in new products.

The Jury says
This is a strong idea and a good solution to create a reliable value chain for many different types of waste fractions. It may not be suitable for very large scale productions, but for local supply for productions on a small or medium scale the concept is promising and growing. Enabling small scale production also supports employment. In essence it makes the value of waste higher – which is good for both the economy and the environment. It’s part of the equation for a circular economy.
