The Jury says
Why isn’t Versace exploring this on the runway? Here is a designer who is truly trying to innovate the fashion industry – repositioning a resource intensive industry in a pleasing way. Mats merges an old, traditional craft with a new technology, exploring material and looking at the craft from a new perspective. His methods blend Scandinavian aesthetics with new techniques. This is an investigation of and a conceptual idea for how we can make clothes in the future.
