Packaging from industry is upcycled to make new plant boxes and urban farming kits, inspiring consumers to take small steps towards a sustainable and more resource-efficient future.

The jury says
For TagTomat (RoofTomato), sustainability goes hand in hand with a DIY mindset. Thus, the main purpose of the project to recycle plastic boxes from the food industry as larger planters is to offer a guide to urban-gardening enthusiasts, residents’ associations and social entrepreneurs. The project is democratically inclusive, accessible and, above all, an inspiring form of knowledge sharing. An activist design that enables the political ambitions of promoting the circular economy take root in the window box.
