Enghaveparken from 1928 has now been transformed into a climate-adapted and recreational park with a rainwater capacity of 22,600 m3. Thus, the park is answering a need to handle Copenhagen’s current and future challenges with rainwater.
The Jury says
The transition of this very complex, urban area is remarkable. It is a very technical solution integrated in a beautiful park. It appears so simple, yet it is such a vibrant and human place. This should be an inspiration for many other projects.
