Hyperloop has the potential to become the next transportation paradigm, combining the speed of a plane with the capacity of a train and the convenience of a car.

The jury says
It may look like a science fiction dream, and for now, Hyperloop One remains mostly yet another example of Tesla-owner Elon Musk’s and BIG’s capacity for thinking big. However, the visionary project does have the potential to disrupt the future of transportation, and successful tests in 2016 have led to renewed optimism for electromagnetic acceleration. Hyperloop One aims to tackle huge challenges and create radically new conditions for mobility with a sustainable and safe high-speed system. When the first passengers can actually travel on the futuristic Hyperloop tube remains uncertain, but as a side effect, the project, which has been released as open source, has accelerated research into the use of magnetism around the world.
